Practical Care is committed to providing an outstanding quality of care for our service users. We aim to enable our service users to continue to live independently in their own home and to be a leading provider of care and support. By being a strong, independent, family run organisation we hope to help the development of a caring society by promoting independent living in the community.
The nature of the services which Practical Care will provide varies from personal care, health care, dietary care, domestic or household services, live-in service, help with outdoor visits, daytime sit-in service and over-night attendance or sleep-over service.
It is the aim of Practical Care to provide a flexible care service, responsive to each individual’s needs.
We provide Care and Support Services to the Following:

• Adults who are experiencing or recovering from illness.
• Adults who are Terminally ill.
Personal Care
• Care relating to personal hygiene and toileting.
• Dressing and undressing.
• Assistance with feeding, eating and drinking.
• Management of urinary and bowel functions.
• Promotion of continence and management of incontinence.
• Assistance with mobility and transfers, including help with getting up and going to bed.
• Promotion of independence and social functioning, anxiety and behaviour management.
• Social care needs assessment and ensuring personal safety.
• Encouragement and assistance with cognitive functions.
• Supervision and monitoring of medication.
Social / Practical Care
Listening and talking to people is regarded by us as being an integral part of delivering care. We can assist the client in keeping in touch with their friends and relatives, such as letter writing, nothing is regard as being too trivial.
• Assistance with planning and shopping.
• Assistance with paying bills and pension collection.
• Assisting with Laundry.
• Bed making.
• Household Cleaning.
Provision Of Meals and Dietary Care
• Food preparation at the client’s home.
• Assistance with feeding.
